Double T Ted's Cartoon Teddy Bears by Keith D Mains
The "Double T Ted's" Cartoon Teddy Bears we're originally created in 2006 and evolved from a spelling mistake made by their creator Keith D Mains in a story he was writing called "Clevalier High".
The Double T Ted's are over 6028 teddy bear characters and evolved from the word "elongatted" which Keith D wrote with two T's in it by accident. In the "Clevalier High" story Keith D included a computer virus that got called the "elongated worm" and things developed bit by bit from that. Keith D and partner Anna Berry spent 3 full days going through the dictionary picking out words that either ended in "ted" or that seemed to fit being turned into a possible teddy bear character.
The first actual cartoon character to be produced was HostTed the Hosting Ted by the cartoonist Lee Healey, which was quickly followed by Tted the Ted the King of the Ted's also by cartoonist Lee Healey. The third Double T Ted's cartoon character to appear was AffiliatTed the Affiliate Ted which was produced by cartoonist Jamoie sale who also reproduced Lee Healet's original Tted the Ted the King of the Ted.
The first handmade Double T Ted's teddy bear InvestTed the Ted in a Vest was made by Keith D's mother Maureen and sold on eBay for £150. Advertising space on InvestTed the Ted in a Vest's chest was sold on eBay and the proceeds of the sale we're donated to GOSH (Great Ormonde Streeet Hospital.

Keith D's ideas behind the "Double T Ted's" teddy bear characters
The ideas behind the "Double T Ted's" have evolved as Keith D developed the teddy bear characters. Keith D is writing a novel about the Double T Ted's which will aimed at people of all ages including children and adults alike. Whilst writing the novel Keith D keeps in mind the idea of the eventual book being turned into an animated film.
The book starts off in a nightclub in Teddy land owned by Tted the Ted the King of the Ted's and begins with Tted on stage singing the Elvis Presley track "Let me be your Teddy Bear" which is then followed by Tubby Tedder singing a rewrite of the old chubby checker track "Let's Twist Again" which Keith D rewrote as "Get TwistTed Then".
There are plans to produce children's books using the Double T Ted's characters which are in effect mostly spelling mistakes to teach grammar, spelling, the meaning of words and English in general. The children's books will be illustrated by various cartoonists and each one themed around a particular Double T Ted's character.
An example of this can be made using one of the characters names. I will use the word HostTed for this example. An illustrated book would talk and teach about the use of the word "hosted". The meaning of the word "hosted" would be gone into and it's usage in every day life. So web hosting would be mentioned and explained and the other uses like hosting a party or dinner or hosting a show. How an animal or a plant can hosts other things would also be gone into as well as how an inn keeper or hotelier can be someone's host.
The same would be repeated with as many of the Double T Ted's characters as possible. Some of the Double T Ted's illustrated books will be aimed at young children whereas others will be aimed at older age groups mostly dependent on the actual Double T Ted's particular character name and how it would benefit the particular age group.

The "Double T Ted's" websites similar to the illustrated children's books will be themed around the meaning of the word the character is based on. So a couple of examples of this would be HostTed the Hosting Ted. HostTed's website provides web hosting services. Another example would be AffiliatTed the Affiliate Ted which will provide affiliate programs and information on affiliate programs.
Not all of the Double T Ted's have names that can be associated with aspects of Business or services that can be provided. So in those cases the website of that Double T Ted's character will be just about that particular teddy bear and the meaning and usage of the word without the extra T in it that makes it a spelling mistake and a Double T Ted.
Other Double T Ted characters, like Tted the Ted for example will provide other services. Tted for example "hosts" the portfolios of writers and artists.
